What we do

Empower 2 B You strengthens underserved women and families in Southern Nevada by delivering essential support at the moments it matters most — the start of the school year, the holidays, and every day in between.

Back to School

Every July we hand backpacks and full sets of supplies to children whose families can't stretch to cover them. Last year more than 100 families lined up before we opened.

This organization began in California in 2007 — one woman helping other women who had nowhere obvious to turn. The need kept outgrowing what one person could fund. Nineteen years and one move to Las Vegas later, the work has widened into backpacks and groceries — and it is still bounded by the same thing it has always been bounded by.
