Holiday Hunger Relief

Heating bills arrive, school breaks remove the meals some children rely on, and a holiday table becomes something a family has to choose against. Our Holiday Hunger Relief event exists for that gap.

Here is how it works. Local businesses donate gift cards and food. We use the cards to buy exactly what families need — not what happens to be left over in a donation bin — and volunteers assemble and distribute the groceries. It is a simple model and it means almost everything given reaches a table.

The 2025 event was a success because our community showed up. Whole Foods and Smith's contributed. The Rota Foundation filled a last-minute request when we came up short. Volunteers packed and carried. Channel 8 covered the distribution.
